Pacwest Center

YEAR COMPLETED: 1984

RDC's 500,000 sf Pacwest Center opened in 1984, in partnership with Morgan Stanley and Mitsubishi Estate Company. Russell selected the architect, Hugh Stubbins, for his then-recent success with Citicorp Center in New York City. The Wall Street Journal named Pacwest Center one of the Top 10 Towers in America in 1997.

BUILDING DISTINCTIONS:

• Named by The Wall Street Journal "One of the Top 10 Towers in America"
• Building achieved significant new high levels in rental rates for office ($30 psf gross) and retail ($40 psf gross) space
• Building 80 percent occupied at opening when competitive buildings averaged 25 to 50 percent occupied at opening
