200 Market Street

YEAR COMPLETED: 1990

RDC purchased the 400,000 sf 200 Market Building in 1988 and immediately commenced complete abatement of asbestos and near-total reconstruction. The 200 Market Building was awarded the first LEED award for sustainability in America in 2006 in the existing multi-tenant category. The building was the runner up to the 1992 International Building of the Year award by BOMI.

 

RUSSELL ROLE:

• President of company which owned building during reconstruction
• President of company which is general partner, owner and manager since completion of renovation

 

BUILDING DISTINCTIONS:

• Regional BOMA Building of the Year, 1992
• First major U.S. comprehensive complete asbestos abatement program in a large multi-tenanted office building
• First existing multi-tenanted office building in America to receive the LEED Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council
